A Series of Posts: Meet My Family

Since all 7 of you who read my blog may not know me in person, I thought I would write a little in the next week about my family. Even those of you who DO know me may live far away or haven't had the chance to get to know us as much as you'd like to across the miles. Plus, it's always nice to remind myself of what a blessing my little family is and how they have a big part in who I am. It puts things into perspective, and I'm sure when I look back at what I wrote ten years from now, I will get all blubbery about how little the kids were... Yeah, I enjoy being sentimental like that. Hope you don't mind!

I think this is how it will go:

Meet Frank- my husband
Meet Annabelle- my daughter, the oldest
Meet Joey- my first son, the middle kid
Meet Baby Jay- the baby boy
Meet Phoebe and Uno- the dog and cat, respectively

I think the order is heaviest to lightest. I didn't mean to do that, but it works.

You do need a theme song, though. I miss theme songs...
I look forward to reading about your family. Don't worry, I'll play my own music in my head while I read...

Yay! Sherri can comment on my blog now! And I DO need a theme song. I love theme songs. Maybe I'll make one up for us. We would make a great sit-com. And yes, I'm trying to add pictures, but I haven't had success with that yet. My husband's supposed to call me back and give me a tutorial. Little does he know it's a picture of him he's helping with!! Mwa ha ha.

May I be so bold as to suggest Hungarian Dance No. 5 as the music for your theme song. Hungarian Dance No. 18 also has merits. I always thought they would make could back ground for a friendly car chase (you know, like when the police chase you down to let you know that Jewel has spareribs on sale, but you bolt because you think they have finally found you :-)). I love riding on the expressway with Brahms Hungarian Dances playing on the C..D. player...

Hey. I've been working all day but have been checking in on my crackberry.

I vote for "Everybody Wang Chung Tonight" for a theme song. Because think about it, what if everybody really did wang chung tonight? (I bet you have that song in your head now.) And NO that is not me in the video.

I also have some bloggerrific advice if you're interested. If you write a blog post in google docs, inserting pics is much easier to do. (It also has spell check and some other word processing type stuff that's handy.) When you're done, click on the "share" button and choose "post to blog". Then go to your blog, select "edit posts", and make sure it looks okay. Then hit "publish" and you're good to go. If you already do this, then I've wasted a bunch of comment space. Giving out unsolicited advice is just another service I offer.

Sorry, on a completely different note, I talked to my cafe guys about what we need the most!

When they said, System Units, we need system units, I said...pick something else. Then they said a laserjet printer...I said...pick something else...smaller guys, smaller.

So they said we could really use some mice (is that how you say it if you aren't referring to the plural animal?), any software packages, jumpdrives, or rewritable cds. I don't think most of those are things that IT places would be trying to get rid of...so, no worries if nothing works out. I'm grateful though, for you even looking into it.

Hmmm...I like Brahms and Hungarian Dance number 5 a lot. My mom listened to a lot of classical music around the house. But I like Wang Chung too...

Kathy,
That lady was hilarious. I can't decide if I was laughing because of how silly she looks or because I would do something equally silly and be equally serious about it. But I wouldn't put it on youtube. No matter how hard you beg.

If I knew how to get to google docs this might be helpful... ;) I have my whole post on Frank done and I still can't get pictures. I didn't feel like bugging him more yesterday. Half of my problem is my laptop is a mac but I don't know how to use it as well as a pc. But it sure looks cute!

10 (now 11) comments! That's more than 7 people!

I'm glad you're doing this. I think I'm in the category of "haven't had the chance to get to know you as much as I'd like", even though we have a history way back to when we were wee ones. I'm glad you're in my family now!
